I remember a few years ago, there was that old man who lived in our neighbourhood.

he was so old, and I thought that at some point he developed alzehimer and then really lost it - his mind

the weird thing is, from all the insane stuff that people do when they grow old, this man would throw sand and stones at you the second you walk past him

when I really have to go by this man's house, I'd take someone with me, so one of us would look back to watch for him when he starts throwing and then shouts "right" or "left", and then the other would turn to whatever direction was shouted to avoid being hit, all the way covering our heads with our hands xD

I've never heard of him for the last couple of years and I've no idea if he's sill alive or not

another old man who was less aggressive was "Masha'a Allah"... of course that wasn't his real name, but the name we used to call him and it has a nice story

This man used to live a little far away from our house, next to the station... he had a chair that he'd put on his door front and watch people as they come and go

he sits silently must of the time, but when a young boy/girl walks by, he'd open his teeth-less mouth wide, and smile saying: "Masha'a Allah" xD

last year, this man's family moved to a house right next to us and our families became really good friends. He passed away a few months ago

Our last old man is the one I wrote about in this post (1), following his son's death, the man's health declined terribly and he lost a lot of weight

the last time I met him was a year ago, I was getting a tuktuk for our guests to take them home and I saw him walking slowly down the street. it was late and I tried to figure out where he was going and whether he was sane or not

I couldn't get a word out of him, and he didn't seem to recognise me, all he said was: I'm going to my brother's house, so we took him there

I was thinking about writing this post for a day or two. Today I woke up to the Imam announcing Haj Abdulqaioum's death from the Masjid, just before Fajr
